PELLA, Iowa –
Justin Moeller's win at Central (Iowa) College's Dutch Winter Multis currently places him well past NCAA provisional qualifying numbers in men's heptathlon.
Moeller finished the second day with 5,168 points in the heptathlon – the eighth best mark in the nation this year and number one in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. The graduate student set five new personal bests in 60m (7.33), shot put (11.61), high jump (2.02m), 60 hurdles (8.24) and 1000 (2:59.00).
Junior
Hayden Long finished sixth with a heptathlon personal best of 4,473 points after setting a new shot put personal best of 13.49 on day one.
Sophomore
Vada Moore scored 2,297 points in her sixth-place finish in the women's pentathlon with a personal best shot put of 8.50m.
