JACKSONVILLE, Ill. - The final weekend of the indoor regular season saw around 18 Truman State Track & Field athletes set season best marks on Friday night at the Illinois College Hilltop Classic.

Destiny Zimdars had the highest individual finish with a second in the women's weight throw and eclipsed her PR in the process. Her best throw of the event was 16.41 meters. Christina Stanley also had a new PR at 10.90 meters. 

Kate Doyle and Sophia Kim went fifth and sixth with best times in the mile. Doyle ran 5:23.81 and Kim went 5:25.04. 

All three runners in the women's 800 set new times, McKenna Ledgerwood (2:26.22), Lyla Rider (2:31.28) and Andrea Riley (2:31.44) joined 3,000-meter runners Emma Schultz (11:17.23) and Ellie Webb (11:25.11) with new bests.

Hunter Keene was the top placer on the men's side of the action with a bronze medal in the Long Jump. It was a season best leap at 6.60-meters. 

Justin McKim had a season best toss in the weight and finished sixth at 14.64 meters. Dominic Novotny (12.48) and Hayden Long (13.39) had bests in the event,

Nick Fuess went a PR 10.63 in the 60-meter hurdles, Liam McCarthy ran 2:00.22 in the 800-meter run, and Jacob Gutzman (4:32.39) and Andrew Gonski (4:33.77) in the mile run.

Next week, the Bulldog teams head to Indianapolis for the 2025 Great Lakes Valley Conference Championships. The two-day meet begins on Saturday with the multis, selected finals and prelims.
