MARYVILLE, Mo. - Truman State Indoor Track & Field returned to Northwest Missouri State for the Bearcat Invite this weekend. Around 17 Bulldogs achieved personal or season best marks in the meet.

The mid-distance runners on the women's side had the most success. In the women's 800-meter run, five of the seven Truman runners achieved their best times. Carmen Gentilia was the highest finisher in ninth with a time of 2:18.37. She was joined in the PR parade by Madeline Sims (2:23.07), Kendra Zeilstra (2:23.25), Jocelyn Dorsey (2:23.57) and Julia Brown (2:29.83). Just missing PRs were Clare Stahr (2:22.43) and Lyla Rider (2:41.82).

In the mile, three of four runners hit PR marks. Sophia Kim (5:28.17), McKenna Ledgerwood (5:29.64) and Andrea Riley (5:44.28).

Sarah Williams had the best overall finish of a Bulldog with a PR in the 3000-meter run at 10:34.08, good for sixth place. Ellie Webb set a PR in the 5000-meter at 19:20.43.

All three women's weight throwers achieved bests. Destiny Zimdars matched her top distance at 15.08 meters, Elaina Gorton topped her's at 15.03 meters and Laurie Leroy bested her distance at 12.59 meters.

The men had for personal records exceeded. Nolan Meara ran 8:56.59 in the 3000, Andrew Kuntz posted a 16:17.04 in the 5K, Brycen Compton ran 1:56.14 in the 800 and Andrew Gonski ran 4:35.06 in the mile.

Justin Moeller had the top place finish with an eighth in the Pole Vault, clearing 4.36 meters and he finished 14th in the Long Jump with a mark of 6.48 meters.

The Bulldogs will split up next weekend with a group heading to the Gorilla Classic in Pittsburg, Kansas and a contingent heading north to the Grand Valley State Big Meet in Allendale, Michigan.
