ROLLA, Mo. – A rocky first inning put Truman State down 6-0 to open Saturday's twin bill at Missouri S&T and the Miners never looked back outscoring the Bulldogs 23-1 in the sweep.

Isaac Epp (0-3) took the loss in just one inning of work where Missouri S&T plated six on two home runs – the first for three runs followed by a two-run shot – before Truman State recorded an out. The Bulldogs went to junior
Noah Frailey in the second, but the Miners kept at it with three in the second and two each in the third and fourth.
The two hits for Truman State in Game 1 came from freshman
Owen Browning and sophomore
Dakota Joggerst's third double of the campaign. The 'Dogs struck out 11 times, surrendered 10 walks, and committed a season-high three errors in the 13-0 loss.
Game 2 opened with freshman starter
Nick Phillips (0-3) recording two scoreless innings before an error allowed the Miners to take a 3-0 lead in the third. A fourth-inning error gave Missouri S&T a 4-0 lead with the game slipping out of reach after three-run Miner fifth and sixth innings.
Truman State mustered its lone run on the day in the seventh on a leadoff walk by redshirt freshman

Charlie Berry's third double of the season. Browning loaded the bases with a walk with Joggerst scoring Krock on an RBI walk. A fielder's choice ended Game 2 in a 10-1 Missouri S&T victory.
The losses drop Truman State to 1-9 on the season while the Miners go to 4-2. The two wrap their lone 2025 series Sunday in a double header with 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. first pitches.
