KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – Southwest Baptist (Mo.) parlayed consecutive second-inning walks into four runs en route to a 6-5 over Truman State Friday.
The Bulldogs plated three runs in the bottom of the eighth to pull within one, but a bases-loaded threat saw the tying run stranded ninety feet away.

Dakota Joggerst scoring on a
Gavin Schieffer fielder's choice to narrow the gap to 5-2.
The three-run eighth started with another Brant single who then scored on
Oliver Degenhardt's RBI double, one of two on the day for the Bulldog shortstop. Tieman picked up another sac fly RBI to score Degenhardt with Schieffer driving in Joggerst with an RBI single to finish scoring for Truman State.
The top of the order in Brant and Degenhardt with 4-5 and 3-5, respectively, scoring three runs combined, while Tieman and Schieffer led the squad in RBI with two. Lindsey pitched six innings giving up five runs on eight hits with three strikeouts and the two walks.
The weekend series continues at 1 p.m. Saturday with a double dip between the 4-20, 1-8 GLVC Bulldogs and 12-15, 5-4 Bearcats.
