WARRENSBURG, Mo. - Hayden Long made history on Friday as he matched a 48-year-old school record in winning the Javelin Throw as part of Truman State's Track & Field participation at the Mule Relays hosted by the University of Central Missouri.

Long matched the school record on his first throw of the event. The javelin flew 62.10 meters (203 feet, nine inches) to tie Mark Sissom's record set in 1977. It was only the ninth time in Truman State men's outdoor history that a school record was matched or bettered since the start of the 2000s.

Justin Moeller finished eighth in both the 110-meter hurdles and the pole vault. His time of 14.85 seconds in the hurdles was a personal best.
In total, 12 Bulldog men set personal bests in their respective events.

The women's 4x400 relay team of Claire Stahr, Carmen Gentilia, Maddie Sims, and Phoebe Canatsey achieved the highest event finish for the women's team. The group ran 4:10.36 to take third.

Ellie Webb and Emma Schultz finished fourth and fifth in the 10,000-meter run, both breaking the 40-minute barrier for the first time. Webb ran 39:43.08, and Schultz finished in 39:55.43.

Kati Schoeneberg and McKenna Ledgerwood set personal bests in the 3,000-meter steeplechase and placed fifth and sixth. Both finished nearly together, with Schoeneberg running 11:39.88 and Ledgerwood 11:39.98.

In total, 16 personal bests were set on the women's side by 14 different athletes. Kaela Perez set personal bests in both the 100 and 400 hurdles, and Julia Brown ran personal bests in the 200 and 400 meter runs.

Up next, a group of middle-distance runners will head to California for the Bryan Clay Invitational hosted by Azusa Pacific University, while the bulk of the team will travel to Rolla, Missouri, for the Dewey Allgood Invitational on Saturday.
