QUINCY, Ill. - The Truman State Tennis season came to an end on Saturday with a 5-2 loss to Quincy University.
The doubles point was fought to the end with Quincy winning 7-5 at number one and 6-4 at number two. Seniors Akansha Negi and Abbi Worster played their final doubles match together in the number two slot. The duo have accounted for 78 singles wins and 57 doubles wins with 17 as partners.
The Hawks won the first four singles matches in straight sets. Mary Grace Seymour got the Bulldogs on the board with a 6-4, 6-2 win at number five and Worster was a walkover win at number six.
The Bulldogs finish the season 13-11 overall and 1-4 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
