KIRKSVILLE, Mo. - Aiden Hayes and Addie Mathis won individual events for the Truman State Track and Field team this weekend as the Bulldogs competed in a pair of meets.

On Friday, four women ran in the 800-meter run at the University of South Dakota. Mathis won the race with a time of 2:13.64, while Lexy Henrikson took third with a personal-record time of 2:14.39. Raina Baker (2:17.19) and Lydia Lehmbeck (2:23.41) also competed in the event.

On Saturday, a soggy and wet Dwight T. Reed Stadium at Lincoln University in Jefferson City hosted the Bulldogs for the Lincoln Open. Hayes won the javelin throw with a mark of 52.23 meters.

Two silver medals were earned: Max McMullin cleared 1.85 meters in the high jump, and Alex Long threw the discus 42.55 meters. Tyler Davis placed third in the men's shot put with a distance of 14.85 meters, while on the women's side, Vada Moore took third in the long jump with a mark of 4.86 meters.

The Bulldogs will next compete at the Mule Relays in Warrensburg, hosted by the University of Central Missouri, on Friday.
