Bulldog Women's Hoops signs six transfers

KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – Truman State Women's Basketball has signed six recruits to join the squad for the 2025-26 season.
 
The new Bulldogs include Mariann Blass (Elmhurst, Ill./Quincy (Ill.) Univ.), Maggie Chambers (Pickens, S.C./Limestone (S.C.) Univ.), Emajin McCallop (Kansas City, Kan./Washburn (Kan.) Univ.), Marta Perez Souza (Guadalajara, Spain/Northern Oklahoma), Malia Rodgers (Montgomery City, Mo./State Fair (Mo.) CC), and Neylan Vila Delicado (Barcelona, Spain/Limestone (S.C.) Univ.).
 
"We're thrilled to welcome these six exceptional transfers to our women's basketball family. Each of them brings the drive, discipline, and commitment that truly represent what it means to be a Bulldog—both in the classroom and on the court. A special thank you to Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator Alexis Griffin, along with Graduate Assistant Coaches Trinitee Jackson and Chris Williams, for their key roles in securing such a high-caliber group of student-athletes.
 
Mariann Blass (Elmhurst, Ill./Quincy (Ill.) Univ.)
Mariann Blass will come to Truman State for her junior season after two for the Quincy (Ill.) Hawks where, as a sophomore, she contributed 11.3 points in 28.6 minutes per game while helping QU claim a Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) tournament championship. The guard started all 28 games in which she saw action with a .413 field goal percentage finishing 48-147 (.327) behind the arc. A graduate of York High, Blass was all conference in both the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons claiming a Class 4A Regional title and honorable mention all-state her senior year.
 
"Mariann is a skilled and experienced guard who brings scoring ability, toughness, and a championship pedigree to our program. Her knowledge of the GLVC will be a huge asset, as she's a proven three-level scorer in the league with a high basketball IQ. Mariann impacts the game on both ends and is a great addition to our Bulldog Family!
 
Maggie Chambers (Pickens, S.C./Limestone (S.C.) Univ.)
Maggie Chambers will arrive at Truman State after a freshman season at Limestone University in Gaffney, S.C. The forward was a three-time all-region and one-time all-state selection at Pickens High School in basketball while setting school records in shot and discuss en route to all region and all state nods in track and field. Her high school team won a regional title in the 2023 season.
 
"Maggie is a determined forward with the ability to create mismatches and contribute in all areas. A natural rebounder, she brings immediate physicality and athleticism to our frontcourt. Maggie is extremely versatile on the offensive end, with the ability to play on the perimeter or with her back to the basket, and is a great addition to our Bulldog Family!"
 
Emajin McCallop (Kansas City, Kan./Washburn (Kan.) Univ.)
The 2024-25 season saw Emajin McCallop average 8.6 minutes in 24 games played scoring 28 points with 11 steals and 12 assists for Washburn (Kan.). While at Bishop Miege, McCallop was a two-time, first-team all-state athlete with one all-state honorable mention while the team went a combined 92-5 during McCallop's four seasons winning three state and four league titles. During her junior season, McCallop scored 14 points with six assists and four steals per game.
 
"Emajin is a dynamic and poised guard who brings maturity, intensity, and great feel for the game to our program. Her collegiate experience has developed her into a smart, disciplined player who elevates those around her. She defends, communicates, and leads. Emajin is a great addition to our Bulldog Family!"
 
Marta Perez Souza (Guadalajara, Spain/Northern Oklahoma)
Marta Perez Souza begins her Bulldog career following a sophomore season at Northern Oklahoma where she scored 9.8 points with 4.1 boards, 2.4 assists, and 2.1 steals per game. Souza finished second in Region II with 1.5 blocks per game after a freshman season where she finished fifth at a 1.2 blocks per game clip. Her 52.5 field goal percentage through her freshman season was good for second in Region II.
 
"Marta is a skilled and steady forward who brings poise, toughness, and a great understanding of the game to our program. She plays with pace, sees the floor well, and has been a reliable and consistent presence so far in her career. Marta is a confident, unselfish playmaker who uses her instincts to positively impact the game. She is a great addition to our Bulldog Family!"
 
Malia Rodgers (Montgomery City, Mo./State Fair (Mo.) CC)
Malia Rodgers topped State Fair (Mo.) CC in 2024-25 with 339 points, a per-game average of 11.7, going .478 from the floor and .423 behind the three-point line. A four-time conference champion at Montgomery County High School, Rodgers was named all state following the 2023 and 2024 seasons and unanimous first team all-conference her final three years. Rodgers tallied 15 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per game as a senior setting school marks in points (1,410), assists (379), and free throw percentage (.767).
 
"Malia brings versatility, leadership, and a tremendous work ethic to our program. She's a sharpshooter coming from a junior college with a strong tradition of success. Her ability to play multiple positions, create shots for herself and be a playmaker adds valuable depth to our guard rotation. Malia is a great addition to our Bulldog Family!
 
Neylan Vila Delicado (Barcelona, Spain/Limestone (S.C.) Univ.)
New Bulldog Neylan Vila Delicado averaged 1.4 points per game during her freshman season at Limestone University grabbing 40 rebounds, dishing 46 assists, and averaging 19.2 minutes in 18 games played. She reached regionals twice during high school, finishing second in 2016-17 and fourth in 2018-19, while finishing fifth in the nation in 2016-17. Delicado finished her high school career in Spain averaging 8.0 points, 3.5 assists, 3.0 steals, and 1.7 rebounds per game.
 
"Neylan is a fearless guard who brings energy and grit to our program. She's a knockdown shooter who also thrives in up-tempo play, competes on every possession, and battles relentlessly on the defensive end. Her competitive drive will give us an added layer of toughness in the backcourt. Neylan is a great addition to our Bulldog Family!"
