Bulldogs Volleyball Closes out Tournament Season with 1-2 Record in Truman State Tournament

The Bulldogs were the hosts of the Truman State Tournament at Pershing Arena this weekend featuring Missouri Western, William Jewell, Rockhurst, and Upper Iowa. After challenging battles with Missouri Western and Rockhurst, the Bulldogs showcased their depth and balance, capped by an efficient, energetic performance in their final match.

Missouri Western 3, Truman State 0 — 25-15, 25-17, 29-27

Missouri Western controlled the first two sets, using a steady offense to build comfortable leads and force Truman to play from behind. The Bulldogs rallied in the third set and extended the frame well past 25, pushing the set to a 29–27 finish, but could not complete the comeback, dropping the set and the match. Strong late kills from Neece, Goad, Way, and Porter highlighted the team's fight, setting the tone for the rest of the weekend.

Rockhurst 3, Truman State 0 — 25-19, 25-21, 25-16

Truman showed stretches of sharp play against Rockhurst, keeping sets one and two tight before the Hawks pulled away late. Tori Creason's steady setting kept the Bulldog offense engaged, while Janssen and Proszenyak shined in the back row to keep rallies alive. The effort and defensive grit carried momentum forward into the final day.

Truman State 3, William Jewell 0 — 25-14, 25-20, 25-20

The Bulldogs closed the tournament in dominant fashion, sweeping William Jewell behind one of their best offensive outings of the year. Erickson led the attack with 13 kills, Creason guided the offense with 39 assists, and Janssen anchored the defense with 23 digs. With efficient hitting and strong net play, Truman controlled every set and finished the weekend on a strong, confidence-building note.
