KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – Truman State University had five student-athletes earn recognition on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Basketball Teams, the organization announced. Redshirt sophomore guard Drew Kingery was honored on the men's team, while the women's program saw four student-athletes recognized: redshirt sophomore forward Mallory Ott, sophomore guard Katelyn Odem, senior guard Neylan Vila Delicado, and redshirt freshman forward Braylee Rogers.
To be eligible for nomination, student-athletes must either start in at least 67 percent of their institution's games or play in at least 90 percent of the team's games. Additionally, nominees must be at least a sophomore , while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.50 on a 4.0 scale. The award recognizes excellence both in the classroom and on the basketball court.
Men's Basketball
Drew Kingery
Redshirt sophomore guard Drew Kingery earned Academic All-District honors while serving as one of the team's most consistent performers. Kingery appeared in all 28 games with 28 starts, averaging 27.1 minutes per contest. He posted 8.4 points per game while shooting an efficient 50.6% from the field and 41.8% from three-point range. Kingery made 38 three-pointers on the season and shot 75.0% from the free-throw line. He contributed 3.1 rebounds per game and added 23 assists while demonstrating his ability to score from all three levels. In conference play, Kingery elevated his performance, averaging 9.8 points per game while shooting 51.9% from the field and an impressive 46.7% from beyond the arc. His veteran leadership and consistent production made him a valuable asset for the Bulldogs throughout the 2025-26 season.
Women's Basketball
Mallory Ott
Redshirt sophomore forward Mallory Ott earned Academic All-District recognition while serving as one of the cornerstones of the Bulldogs' 17-12 season. Ott appeared in all 29 games with 29 starts, averaging 22.6 minutes per contest. She posted 8.1 points per game while shooting 43.4% from the field and 34.3% from three-point range, making 23 three-pointers on the season. Ott was a force on the glass, averaging a team-high 5.5 rebounds per game with 160 total rebounds (39 offensive, 121 defensive). She shot 75.3% from the free-throw line and contributed 35 assists while demonstrating her versatility as a forward who can step out and knock down the three-point shot. In conference play, Ott averaged 7.9 points and 5.6 rebounds per game, providing consistent production on both ends of the floor throughout the season.
Katelyn Odem
Sophomore guard Katelyn Odem earned Academic All-District honors after a productive season in which she appeared in all 29 games with 21 starts, averaging 27.1 minutes per contest. Odem posted 7.3 points per game while shooting 44.9% from the field and 33.8% from three-point range, connecting on 26 three-pointers. She was an excellent facilitator, ranking second on the team with 52 assists, and also contributed 2.8 rebounds per game. Odem's defensive presence was evident with 30 steals on the season. In conference play, she elevated her performance to 7.3 points per game while shooting 44.3% from the field and 34.5% from beyond the arc. Her ability to handle the ball, create for teammates, and provide consistent scoring made her a key component of the Bulldogs' backcourt throughout the 2025-26 campaign.
Neylan Vila Delicado
Senior guard Neylan Vila Delicado earned Academic All-District recognition in her first and only season with the Bulldogs. Vila Delicado appeared in all 29 games with two starts, averaging 15.5 minutes per contest while providing valuable energy and playmaking off the bench. She posted 1.8 points per game and was an exceptional facilitator, ranking third on the team with 53 assists despite her limited minutes. Vila Delicado also contributed 1.6 rebounds per game and was active defensively with 27 steals, demonstrating her ability to create turnovers and push the tempo. She shot 30.4% from the field and 31.0% from three-point range, making nine three-pointers on the season. In conference play, Vila Delicado averaged 2.0 points per game and led the team's second unit with 38 assists. Her unselfish play and court vision made her an important piece of the Bulldogs' guard rotation throughout the season.
Braylee Rogers
Forward Braylee Rogers earned Academic All-District honors in her first collegiate season, appearing in all 29 games with one start while averaging 18.9 minutes per contest. Rogers posted 4.2 points per game and was a valuable rebounder, averaging 3.6 rebounds per game with 103 total rebounds (20 offensive, 83 defensive). She shot 40.3% from the field and an impressive 83.3% from the free-throw line, though she attempted just 24 free throws on the season. Rogers also contributed 40 assists and 20 steals while demonstrating her versatility as a forward who could defend multiple positions. In conference play, Rogers averaged 4.7 points and 4.2 rebounds per game while shooting 45.3% from the field and 82.4% from the free-throw line. Her immediate impact combined with her academic excellence, positions her as a key building block for the program's future.
The five honorees helped lead their respective programs through successful seasons, with the women's team finishing 17-12 overall and 14-6 in Great Lakes Valley Conference play while the men's team posted a 12-16 overall record and 9-11 conference mark. Their commitment to excellence both academically and athletically exemplifies the values of Truman State University and the Bulldog basketball programs.
