KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – Truman State University Athletics has announced the hiring of Xander Beeson as the department's new Coordinator of Athletic Events & Creative Content.
Beeson joins Truman after gaining experience across collegiate athletics, marketing, communications, event management and advancement. In his new role, he will assist with the planning and execution of home athletic events while supporting the department's creative content, digital media and fan engagement efforts.
"Xander brings a strong combination of event management experience and digital media skills to our department," said Truman Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing & Communications Jacob Oyler. "He has experience creating and implementing content across multiple platforms, understands the operational side of events and has already shown that he is a very quick learner. I expect him to become a valuable asset to Bulldog Athletics very quickly, and we are excited to have him on board."
Beeson comes to Truman from Dickinson, North Dakota, where he has served as Marketing Coordinator for the City of Dickinson since May 2025. In that role, he developed marketing campaigns across social media, web and print platforms while helping plan and oversee large-scale community events. He also produced photography, video, graphic design and written content and supervised employees and volunteers during concerts and special events.
He also gained collegiate athletics experience at Dickinson State University, serving as a sports information student intern from January 2025 through May 2026. Beeson assisted with gameday operations across multiple varsity sports while creating photography, graphics and social media content. His responsibilities also included website updates, statistics and athletic communications.
Prior to that, Beeson worked with the Dickinson State University Heritage Foundation, where he supported fundraising initiatives, donor engagement, alumni relations and stewardship efforts. He also helped coordinate donor and alumni events and created marketing materials supporting the Foundation's initiatives.
"I am super excited to be a part of the Bulldog family," Beeson said. "As a former student-athlete, I'm looking forward to experiencing college athletics from a different side and working closely with the coaches and staff who make Truman State such an amazing university. I can't wait to meet everyone, get to work and be a part of the community. Go Bulldogs!"
Beeson earned his Bachelor of Science in Sports Management from Dickinson State University. A former five-year collegiate football student-athlete, he was a four-time conference champion and earned President's List recognition with a 4.0 GPA.
As Coordinator of Athletic Events & Creative Content, Beeson will work across Truman's athletic programs to support gameday production, event operations, creative storytelling and the department's continued efforts to enhance the student-athlete and fan experience.
