2014: Collected a handful of awards both for her work on the court and in the classroom as a junior, most notably earning AVCA All-America honorable mention honors for the second straight season ... also was a Capital One Academic all-District selection and was also named the Great Lakes Valley Conference's Scholar-Athlete of the Year for the sport of volleyball ... was a GLVC second-team pick, an AVCA all-Midwest region first-team selection, and a Daktronics all-Midwest regional first-team honoree as well ... made starts in all 33 matches on the season, playing 112 sets ... averaged 2.25 kills, 1.37 blocks, and 1.01 digs per set, while also finishing as one of six Bulldogs to deal 20+ service aces ... ranked third in NCAA-II in both total blocks (153) and blocks per set ... set a new career-high with 10 total blocks (C-H nine block assists as well) against NCAA-tournament team West Texas A&M on Sept. 20 in a three-set Bulldog sweep of the Lady Buffs ... then matched that 10-block total against Rockhurst in the NCAA tournament, when she nearly logged a triple-double by adding nine kills (.348 hitting percentage) and eight digs ... logged a 13-kill, 10-block double-double against WTAMU and surpassed the 10-kill mark in six matches ... hit .314 on the season, with just 51 errors on 641 offensive swings ... hit better than .400 in seven matches, including twice in NCAA postseason play ... named All-Academic GLVC.
2013: Exploded during her sophomore season, achieving AVCA All-America honorable mention status, along with first-team All-GLVC, first-team AVCA All-Region, and first-team Dakronics All-Region honors ... started all 35 of the team's matches and played in 132 of 135 possible sets ... led the team in hitting percentage (.315), total blocks (138), and blocks per set (1.05), while ranking second on the squad in total kills (327), kills per set (2.48), and service aces (32) ... put forth one of the top efforts in Great Lakes Valley Conference tournament history by hitting better than .300 in all three matches and recording a career-high 24.5 points (23 kills, one ace, one block assist) in semifinals against Lewis ... also topped the 20-point mark against Indianapolis on Nov. 24 in GLVC Championship (19 kills, two block assists, one ace) and at Missouri-St. Louis in regular season finale on Nov. 16 (14 kills, nine block assists, two aces) ... had 14 10+ kill matches and 20 matches in which she committed two or less attack errors ... hit .448 with 15 kills and two blocks in Sept. 25 match against Central Missouri, part of a 12-match stretch from Sept. 21 through Oct. 18 in which she hit. 435 overall with 106 kills on just 207 swings ... served four aces in the first set at William Jewell on Oct. 12 ... recorded four double-digit point matches in team's first five games, then topped the 10-point mark in 11 of the team's final 12 outings ... was only middle hitter named to first-team GLVC squad and also named All-Academic GLVC.
2012: Named honorable mention all-MIAA as an outside hitter after playing in all 34 matches and in 119 sets as a true freshman ... averaged 2.10 kills, 1.17 digs and 0.43 blocks per set ... totaled 250 kills on the year for the fourth-most on the squad and added 23 aces ... averaged 2.51 points per set ... opened her career with an 11-kill, six-dig effort in a three-set sweep of McKendree on Aug. 31 ... had 11 matches with 10+ kills, including a season-high 16 in a five-set win at Missouri S&T on Oct. 16 ... hit. 341 with 14 kills and no errors and recorded her first double-double with 11 digs in a four-set win at No. 1 Nebraska-Kearney on Oct. 12 ... hit .538 (7-0-13) in a sweep of Lindenwood on Oct. 23 and .400 (8-2-15) in a sweep of Missouri Southern on Nov. 2 ... had a season-high six blocks at Emporia State on Nov. 9 ... named an MIAA Scholar-Athlete and listed on the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.
High School
Patterson was a four-year starter at Lee’s Summit HS and set a school record for total blocks with 222. She also finished second all-time at the school with 711 kills, earning first-team all-conference and all-district accolades twice and first-team all-region recognition as a senior. She was named second-team all-state in 2010 and was a 2011 MoKan all-star game participant. Her club program, Invasion VBC, took home first place at the USA Volleyball Junior National Championships in the National Division in 2010, a year she was also named to the all-tournament team, before a third place finish in the Open Division in 2011. She also earned all-conference accolades in basketball and performed in track and field.
