2010-2011: Primarily competed in the 50/200/500/1000/1650 Free, 50 Back, 200 Breast, and the 200/400 IM….earned his fourth and fifth all-American award at the NCAA Division II Championships by finishing 14th in the 1000 Free (9:27.74) and 15^th in the 1650 Free (15:56.74)…Broke his own school record at the Mizzou Invitational in the 1000 Free (9:21.29)….finished 1^st in both the 500 and 1000 Free at the Missouri S&T dual…placed 2^nd in the 1000 Free at the Drury Dual…finished 3^rd in the 1650 Free at the NSISC Championships as well as finishing 5^th in the 400 IM….season-best times:

2009-2010: Became a three-time all-American at the 2010 NCAA Championships, finishing 9^th in the 1650 Free (15:46.94), 15^th in the 1000 Free (9:25.38) and 14^th in the 500 Free (4:34.82) … also competed in the 400 IM at the national meet, coming up just short of AA status (18^th; 4:04.57) … on the year, won four races – two in the 200 Breast, including his PR of 2:14.05 against Lewis … finished top-3 in 21 races, including a 2^nd-place and PR time of 4:02.00 in the 400 IM at the NSISC Championships … season-best times:

-       100 Breast (1:01.47)

-       200 IM (1:57.29)

-       1650 Free (15:46.94) – NCAA’s

High School: A four year starter and letterwinner as well as record holder in the 500 yard freestyle and the 200 yard individual medley set in 2008 for head coach Lindsey Ehret at Fort Zumwalt West High School. He was High School State champion in 2006-08. He won Sectionals in 2005, 06, 07, 08, 09, 10 and Jr. National champion in 2007, and 2009.

Personal: Birthday is August 2^nd … the son of James and Ellen Simek … majoring in Exercise Science.
