Biography

2015 (Junior): First team all-GLVC and Truman’s leading defender with 95 total tackles (8.6 per game)…had three games with 10 or more tackles with a high of 13 in opener against Midwestern State on September 5…finished with 4.5 tackles for loss totaling 15 yards…had a pair of interceptions, one against St. Francis that was returned 15 yards and another at William Jewell…had 241 tackles in 32 career games with five interceptions, eight pass breakups and five fumbles forced…in addition to all-league honors, was named to the league’s Academic All-GLVC team.

2014 (Sophomore): Second team all-GLVC as a defensive back…started all 10 games and led the Bulldogs in tackles with 75…had four games of over 10+ tackles with a season high 12 and a fumble recovery coming against Quincy on November 8…had an interception against Lincoln on September 27…recorded two tackles for loss for seven yards.

2013 (Redshirt Freshman): Earned second-team all-GLVC honors…second on the team in tackles with 71 (31 solo, 40 assisted) with two interceptions and two forced fumbles…had an INT and two forced fumbles with six tackles against Missouri S&T on Oct. 26 to earn GLVC Defensive Player of the Week honors…had a three-game stretch of 10 tackles or more with a single-game high of 15 against Grand Valley (Mich.) St. on Sept. 14.

2012 (Freshman): Redshirt Season…member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

High School: Zoda earned all-district honors in 2010 and was the team’s all-purpose most valuable player in 2011 along with being named a team captain. On the defensive side of the ball, Zoda registered 276 career tackles with five interceptions, nine forced fumbles, seven fumble recoveries and one touchdown. Was also running back/wide receiver with 23 receptions for 366 yards and 39 carries for 300 yards and 10 total scores. Zoda was a two-time winner of the Bubba Storey Award and a winner of the David Holt Award in 2012.
