High School: Kelly is a three-sport standout for Kirksville High School. He was a starter in football in both his junior and senior season and earned all-North Central Missouri Conference honors as an at-large player and was a team captain. On the basketball court, Kelly started all four years and was a prolific three-point shooter breaking school career, season and game records for three-pointers made. He accumulated nearly 1,300 points. Kelly has been a starter for the baseball team in each season and was named all-conference as a junior.
