2017 (Freshman):Redshirt season.

High School: Griffin was a two-year starter on the offensive line for the Maroons of Belleville West. The Maroons passed for over 1,100 yards and rushed for over 2,000 en route to a 5-5 record in his senior season. Griffin was an all-conference offensive lineman and earned academic conference accolades. As a wrestler, Griffin has been named most improved, all-conference and all-city.
