2012: Played in 10 of the 11 games while starting eight on the offensive line…started the last six games of the season… member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

2011: Played in two contests, at Central Missouri on Sept. 24 and against Lincoln on Nov. 5…member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

2010 - Appeared in one game against Washburn on Oct. 30 … member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

2009 - Redshirt

High School - Was an all-district offensive tackled who played for a state championship...earned an academic all-state award...was a thrower on the track team, played center in basketball and won a state championship in Archery...son of Timothy and Karen Backes.
