Biography

2017 (Sophomore): Saw action in eight of the last nine games of the season and recorded 15 tackles…five tackles were on special teams and came up with a huge fumble recovery to clinch season ending win against McKendree (Nov. 11)…recovery came with 2:28 left to play and the Bulldogs were able to run out the clock to preserve the victory over the Bearcats…had a game-high five stops against Grand Valley St. (Oct. 14)…named to the Academic All-GLVC team and was a Brother James Gaffney Distinguished Scholar with a 4.0 GPA for the academic year.

2016 (Redshirt Freshman): Blocked kicks in consecutive weeks to lead the GLVC in blocks and was 14th in Division II…blocked a punt against Southwest Baptist (Oct. 8)…blocked his second punt against Grand Valley State (Oct. 15) that was credited with 21 return yards and set up Truman’s only points, a field goal in the loss to the Lakers…had tackles in three games totaling four with two coming in opener against Midwestern State (Sept. 3)…a member of the GLVC All-Academic team.

2015 (Freshman): Redshirt season…earned Academic All-GLVC honors.

High School: Earned all-conference, all-district and all-region honors on both sides of the ball his senior season…as a linebacker, had 106 total tackles with five interceptions, 10 tackles for loss and three forced fumbles…in the backfield, ran for 600 yards on 80 attempts and 11 touchdowns for the Tigers…participated in baseball and track, earning first team all-district honors as a second baseman…a member of the National Honor Society.
