2016-17: Acted as a super sub during his senior year as he came off the bench for all 32 of the team's games ... behind Cory Myers' 122 career games played, Daniel is second in school history with 116 games played ... also in the program's career record book, Daniel is seventh in field goal percentage with a mark of 52.2 percent and ninth in blocks with 71 ... after making 48.9 percent of his looks from the floor as both a freshman and sophomore, Daniel upped that mark to 52.8 percent as a junior and 54.5 percent as a senior ... registered at least 10 points in a game five times as a senior including 16 in the huge home win over then-No. 9 Bellarmine on Jan. 13, 77-72 ... that night was one of only two on the year in which Daniel played at least 20 minutes and he was in for 26 minutes, the most of his senior season ... against the Knights, Daniel had those 16 points to go with five rebounds while shooting 70 percent (7-of-10) from the field ... that effort was part of a four-game stretch (Jan. 5-13) in which the big man averaged 10.5 points per game after putting up just 5.5 per contest before that ... dished out four assists on Jan. 19 at Maryville and had at least three stuffs in a game five times ... brought down at least five boards 10 times ... named Academic All-GLVC ... recipient of the GLVC Council of Presidents' Academic Excellence Award for finishing eligibility with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5.
2015-16: Made an appearance in all 30 games and collected eight starts with a total of 624 minutes played (20.8 per game) as a junior ... put up an average of 8.2 points per game and his 4.5 rebounds per contest were good for second on the squad behind Cole Myers' 4.6 ... cashed in on five of his 14 three-point attempts (35.7 percent) ... made his presence known down low as he led the Bulldogs in blocks with 23 and was one of only two on the team (Connor Erickson) with at least 20 in that category ... was first on the team in total rebounds with 135 and his 47 offensive boards were 20 more than the next closest player ... shot over 50 percent from the field (52.8) with 102 makes in his 193 total attempts ... started just two of the team's first 24 games before being announced as a starter in the final six ... averaged over 15 points per game over the course of the final nine games, which included a pair of 20-point performances against William Jewell (27 points) and Wisconsin-Parkside in the season finale (20 points) ... secured a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds against Iowa Wesleyan on Jan. 3 ... played 32 minutes in two games including that William Jewell contest and Quincy on Feb. 25 ... named all-Academic GLVC.
2014-15: Saw action in 29 of team's 30 games, averaging 15.0 minutes, 3.4 points, and 2.6 rebounds per game ... made 17 starts, all in a row from Nov. 23, 2014 through Jan. 29, 2015 ... had a season-high nine point game against North Alabama on Nov. 28, in which he also grabbed five rebounds ... shot 49% from the floor for the season and recorded 18 blocks ... went 4-for-5 from the field against UW-Parkside on Jan. 2, with another eight-point game coming at Missouri S&T on Jan. 31 ... named academic all-GLVC.
2013-14: Played in 25 games as a true freshman, making eight starts and averaging 8.6 minutes per game ... averaged 2.3 points and 1.2 rebounds per game, while shooting 49% from the field ... grabbed 11 offensive rebounds and added nine blocks and six steals ... started every game -- all GLVC contests -- from January 9 through February 1 ... scored a career-high 10 points and hit all four shots against Drury (Feb. 1) ... added six rebounds against Maryville on Jan. 18 ... named academic all-GLVC.
High School
All-time leading scorer at Assumption HS with nearly 1,100 points … a first-team all-stater by the Iowa Newspaper Association in both 2012 and 2013 and a first-team all-state selection by the Des Moines Register as a senior after being named second-team as a junior … led his team to a fourth-place state finish in 2013 and a third-place finish as a freshman … conference player of the year as a junior and first-team all-conference player in his final two seasons … named to the Iowa Basketball Coaches’ Association all-SubState team in 2012 and 2013 … three-time member of the National Honor Society … played AAU with Martin Brothers/All Iowa Attack and participated in the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League.
