2024: Break-out season saw Wood earn second team all-conference with a National Fastpitch Coaches Association selection to its second team all-region… led Bulldogs in ten offensive categories while cracking GLVC top ten in eight categories… fourth in GLVC triples (5) and seventh in home runs (8)… had the lone GLVC five-hit game of the season in Feb. 10 18-17 win over Northeaster State (Okla.) going 5-5 a triple short of the cycle scoring three runs and one RBI and only GLVC five-hit game of the season… slash line of .372/.390/.640.

2023: In only eight games played due to an injury, hit .350 with one double, two triples and a home run…went 2-for-3 in her Bulldog debut with two runs scored and her round-tripper…was successful in each of her four stolen base attempts.

Previous: Wood was a redshirt for the Cyclones in 2022 and earned Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll. She was the Des Moines Register 2020-21 Iowa High School Female Athlete of the Year after playing volleyball, basketball, track and softball at Pleasant Valley High School in Bettendorf. Wood was the Quad Cities Athlete of the Year in 2021 and earned all-State honors all four seasons on the diamond. She had season batting averages of .478 and .553 and was part of teams that won the 2017 and 2018 Class 5 State Championships. As a track member, was the 400 meter hurdle state champion and part of a championship relay team (4x100). Qualified for state six times and nine times for the Drake Relays.
