Finished up a two-year run at Ankeny Centennial with the most career points in school history with 677 ... as a senior team captain for the Jaguars, Strait was a unanimous first-team all-conference and third-team all-state selection ... for his two years at Centennial, Strait averaged 17 points, three rebounds and two assists per contest ... reached the 1,000-point plateau for his career after dropping 22 on Feb. 2 at Ames in a 59-51 win for the Jaguars.
