Truman
2018: Joined Christa Reisinger, Alyssa Rivera and Jamie Fowle as one of four Bulldogs to start all 46 of the team's games ... made it three years in a row in which she started every single one of the team's games after 15 games played and 10 starts as a true freshman in 2015 ... tied her career high in both home runs with four and sacrifice hits with 14 ... was able to go deep in both games of the Westminster doubleheader on Feb. 15, something she had never done before in her career ... overall, her line also included a .261 batting average (36-for-138), 16 runs, eight doubles, 26 brought in, a .406 slugging percentage, 10 walks, one sacrifice fly, her first ever stolen base in game one against Missouri S&T on March 26 in Kirksville, and a .984 fielding percentage as the everyday first baseman ... that mark put her career fielding average at .988 with just 15 errors to 1,222 errors in four years ... her career RBI mark of 107 is tied with Cate Simon (2012-16) for 10th in program history ... registered nine multi-hit games including a three-hit performance in game one vs. Lewis on April 21 during her Senior Day, and five games with two RBI, three of which game in 10 games of the season ... named Academic All-GLVC ... recipient of the GLVC Council of Presidents' Academic Excellence Award for finishing eligibility with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5.

2017: One of six Bulldogs to start all 63 of the team's games ... set a new Truman single-game record for doubles when she had four vs. Sioux Falls on March 14 ... tied Johnna Fields' and Michelle Rackers' school record for sacrifices in a season with 18, four of which were sacrifice flies and 14 of which were sacrifice hits ... set the program's new single-season mark for putouts with 552 ... hit the second grand slam of her career with a round-tripper on Feb. 17 vs. Saginaw Valley State ... had seven multi-hit games including four with two, two with three and one with four ... that four-hit game was against Sioux Falls mentioned earlier, all of which were two-baggers to go with a pair of RBI ... fourth on the team in multi-RBI games and the last with double-figures in that category with 10 including five with two, three with three, one with five, and one with six ... was the only player on the team that had at least five RBI in a game more than once ... that six-RBI game was in the first of two against Saint Joseph's on April 28 when she was 2-for-2 with two doubles, both of which came with the bases loaded and cleared them ... the five-RBI effort was in the team's fifth game of the season vs. Saginaw Valley State on Feb. 17 when Murphy was 1-for-4 with two runs scored, five RBI, one home run (second-career grand slam), and a walk ... longest hitting streak was 14 games, second-best on the squad, and longest reached-base streak was the same at 14 games, good for third on the team ... during her 14-game hitting/reached-base streak, Murphy hit .333 with 15 hits in her 45 at-bats ... named Academic All-GLVC ... recipient of the GLVC Brother James Gaffney, FSC Distinguished Scholar Award for achieving a 4.0 grade point average.

2016: One of five Bulldogs to start all 50 of the team's games ... hit .260 with 38 hits in her 146 at-bats ... also had 15 runs scored, seven doubles, one triple, four home runs, 26 RBI, and 59 total bases ... slugged .404 with an on-base percentage of .313 ... second on the team in putouts with 308 and had a .991 fielding percentage with just three errors in 322 chances ... had a monster game in the first of a doubleheader with Wisconsin-Parkside on March 20 when she went 3-for-4 with three runs, five RBI, one double, and two home runs ... aside from that, she had two hits in a game eight times ... also had a round-tripper against Huntington on Feb. 26 and Indianapolis on April 23 ... from Feb. 19-27, she raised her average from .182 to .312 by going 8-of-21 at the dish ... named third-team all-GLVC ... named all-Academic GLVC.

2015: Made 15 appearances and 10 starts as a true freshman, primarily serving as a pinch-hitter and designated player ... hit .233 with seven base hits in 30 at-bats, with three doubles, a home runs, and nine RBI ... posted a slugging percentage of .433 ... went 2-for-3 with three RBI at Drury on March 30 ... also came through with a bases-clearing double on March 22 in game one against Illinois Springfield ... went 3-for-5 as a pinch-hitter - most hits and at-bats in that role of any Bulldog and was 2-for-2 when batting with a runner on third and less than two outs ... named Academic all-GLVC. 

High School
A two-sport athlete in both softball and soccer, Murphy was named second-team all-conference as a senior on the softball field at Troy Buchanan HS. She started three seasons in softball and two in
soccer, helping lead her team to a MSHSAA state championship in softball as a sophomore. Ashley played club ball with St. Louis Chaos and served as President of Troy Buchanan's National Honor Society.

Daughter of Norm and Sherry Murphy ... has two siblings ... is majoring in Justice Systems … birthday is March 17.
