Biography

Truman
2018: Appeared in 31 of the team's 46 games, 17 of which were as a starter behind the plate ... finished with totals including a .241 batting average (14-for-58), five runs scored, one double (game one vs. McKendree on April 9), one home run (game two at William Jewell on March 18), five RBI (three in that Jewell game), 18 total bases, four walks, five hit-by-pitches, and a stolen base (game two vs. USI on April 7) ... that double and home run were the second of each for her career.

2017: Named the team's James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award nominee on May 3 ... the student-athletes chosen for that award are individuals who have distinguished themselves through sportsmanship and ethical behavior ... these individuals must also be in good academic standing and have demonstrated good citizenship outside of the sports-competition setting ... back to competition, hit .200 in 17 games played, three of which were as a starter in the the team's first three games of the year against No. 1 North Alabama (Feb. 11), West Alabama (Feb. 11) and Delta State (Feb. 12) ... in those 17 appearances, Scherzinger registered 20 at-bats, one run scored, four hits, one double, one home run, five RBI, eight total bases, one walk, and two strikeouts ... her one round-tripper came in the season opener against top-ranked North Alabama, was a three-run blast that put Truman up 4-0 in the top of the first inning and was the first four-bagger of Scherzinger's career ... named Academic All-GLVC.

2016: Appeared in just one game as the catcher on March 20 against Wisconsin-Parkside when she recorded one putout and one assist ... named all-Academic GLVC.

High School
Scherzinger helped guide her team to a runner-up finish in the 2015 IHSAA 4A state title game in early June, as her program reached the state title game for the first time since 2004. She batted nearly .320 as a senior with seven doubles and 20 RBI, while also posting a perfect fielding percentage in 32 games behind the plate. Scherzinger lettered three seasons on the field and is a member of the National Honor Society.

Daughter of Jerry and Theresa Scherzinger ... has one older sister ... is majoring in Accounting ... birthday is July 7.
