Kenzie Bruder

Kenzie Bruder was named assistant coach for Truman State volleyball in February 2023. Bruder played collegiately at Western Illinois University, GLVC member Southwest Baptist University, and Vanguard University. She was a team captain at Southwest Baptist and was a national runner-up and won the GSAC championship at Vanguard.

Her coaching experience is extensive, having coached at the club, high school, and college levels. She led Club One Volleyball Club out of Willard, Mo. for two years, Apex Volleyball Club out of Springfield, Mo. for a season, and Laguna Beach Volleyball club from 2020-2023. She was an assistant coach at Pacifica Christian High School in Newport Beach, Calif. for a season.

Bruder has been coaching at the college level since July 2021, starting at Southern Arkansas University as a Graduate Assistant. Following Southern Arkansas, she took an assistant coach position at Adams State University in June 2022 where was the camp assistant director, film coordinator, team academic coordinator, recruiting coordinator, and head of team organization/travel.

Kenzie received a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Southwest Baptist and earned a Master of Science degree in Kinesiology-Coaching from Southern Arkansas in August, 2023. She is also CPR, IMPACT, QPR, and NCAA Recruiting certified.

Bruder and her husband Geoff reside in Kirksville.Â
