Bulldogs Rout Harris-Stowe For Fourth Straight Win

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – The Truman Bulldogs led wire-to-wire in taking their second straight game in consecutive nights and downed a shorthanded Harris-Stowe (Mo.) State University team 88-42 in the Lincoln (Mo.) University Thanksgiving Tournament on Saturday afternoon.
 
Junior Amy Briggs (Lansing, Kan., Lansing) notched a double-double with 11 points and 10 assists and four other players finished in double-figures during the rout.  Allie Norton (Bloomington, Ill., Central Catholic) and Courtney Strait (Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Kennedy) tied for game-high honors with a dozen apiece while Becka McHenry (Fraser, Mich., Fraser) added 11 and Nicole Gloor (Overland Park, Kan., Blue Valley) dropped in 10. The Truman bench outscored the seven player roster of the Lady Hornets (1-7) 44-42.
 
The Bulldogs (4-0) knocked down 11 three pointers and won the rebounding battle by a 44-25 margin.
 
Truman will play at home on Wednesday night when they host Rockhurst (Mo.) University at 5:30 p.m.
