KIRKSVILLE, Mo. - - The first B-cut time of the season and a clean sweep in the 100 Breaststroke highlighted the Truman women's swimming team's dual against Div. I Illinois State University on Friday night in the Pershing Natatorium.

The Bulldogs and Redbirds squared off in the 11-event meet, with ISU finishing with a 138-64 victory in the team scoring. Evyn Spencer, already named a GLVC women's swimmer of the week following her performance at the season-opening Mizzou Show-Me Showdown, logged Truman's first NCAA B-cut time of the season during Friday's dual by touching the wall in the 200 IM with a time of 2:08.61.

Abby Hempen (1:06.92), Margaux Kent (1:07.78) and Morgan Foxworthy (1:14.29) combined to add 16 points to the Bulldogs' score in the 100 Breaststroke, as the trio brought in the top three scoring times in the event.

The Bulldogs return to the pool on Saturday (Oct. 19) afternoon, facing in-state rival Lindenwood at noon. Both the women's and men's teams will compete in the event.
