INDIANAPOLIS – The Truman State Swimming duo of
Emily Traube and
Meg Heveroh will return to the NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships, having been selected to compete in three events each. The championships will run from March 11–15 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Traube earned spots in the 50, 100, and 200 freestyle events. She posted the seventh-fastest time in Division II in the 200 (1:48.73) and tied for the eighth-fastest time in the 100 (49.96). Her 50 time of 23.15 ranks 23rd. Last season at nationals, she finished ninth in the 100, and 11th in both the 50 and 200. Her 200 time broke a 23-year-old school record, and she is just 0.08 seconds off the school mark in the 100 free.
Heveroh will swim in the three distance races during her second trip to nationals. She qualified 15th in both the 1000 free (10:07.51) and the 1650 free (16:55.87). Her time of 4:57.70 in the 500 free ranks 23rd in Division II and secured her a spot in that race. She finished 15th in both the 1000 and 1650 last year and 23rd in the 500.
