LIBERTY, Mo. - The Truman State Swimming teams lost a road dual with William Jewell on Friday. The women were narrowly defeated by a 106-99 tally and the men lost 140-65. The teams will head to Minnesota for the Maverick Invite next weekend.
A.J. Kohler was a double-winner on the men's side as he took both the 100 and 200 free races. In the 100, Kohler swam 52.75 and in the 200 he raced in 1:57.71. The other men's individual win came from Dawson Behl in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:00.43.
Four women touched the wall first in their respective events on Friday. Meg Heveroh cruised to a victory in the 800 free with a time of 9:36.27. Emily Traube led the Bulldogs to three of the four top spots in the 50 free with a time of 26.62. Jahmia Harley was third and Layla Walker was fourth.
Harley claimed the win in the 100 back by three seconds. She swam 1:07.50 while Maddie Lynch was third at 1:12.91.
Kylie Strobl was first in the 100 free with a time of 59.72.
The Bulldog women's 400 free relay team was also a winner.
