KIRKSVILLE - - Ten different Bulldogs recorded kills, and the No. 23 Truman volleyball squad hit a collective .294 in a 3-0 (-15, -19, -14) home sweep of Saint Joseph's (Ind.) College on Saturday evening in Pershing Arena.

Truman (23-2, 15-0 GLVC) extended its win streak to 21 in the one-hour, 12-minute defeat of Saint Joseph's (9-16, 3-12 GLVC) during the squad's first home match since Oct. 4. Senior Allie Brak led all Bulldogs with nine kills and hit .280, while junior Emilee Wlaters added eight kills on 11 swings for a .636 hitting line. Senior Meghan Zimmerman logged a 31-assist, 15-dig double-double, as she shared the team-high in digs with fellow senior Abby Moser, who notched 15 in her three sets of action.

The Bulldogs jumped out to an early lead in set one, posting an 8-2 edge before earning the 25-15 decision. Then, in set two, with Truman on top 17-16, the purple and white rattled off six of the next seven points to lead 23-17 – eventually picking up the 25-19 win. Finally, in the third, the teams played to an even 4-4 start, before the Bulldogs hit the gas and pulled away by a 13-5 margin. The match would never be closer than seven the rest of the way, as the Bulldogs picked up a 25-14 third set victory.

The Bulldogs dealt eight service aces to just three errors, with Zimmerman and junior Abby Heise sending out three apiece. Truman also out-blocked the Pumas, 6-4, and won the dig count by a 57-50 margin.

Truman returns to the court on Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m., facing East division-leading Indianapolis in Pershing Arena. The Greyhounds suffered a 3-1 setback at Quincy on Saturday night, falling to 15-9 overall (12-3 GLVC) on the season
