KIRKSVILLE, Mo. - - The Truman volleyball team posted its most efficient offensive night of the season on Friday, hitting .359 and serving eight aces on the way to a 3-0 (-22, -7, -21) sweep of William Jewell in Pershing Arena.

Freshman Bailey Mason hit .500 with 11 kills on 22 swings, while junior Kayla Bastian hit .440 with 11 kills and 14 digs to pace the 'Dogs, who remain alive for a Great Lakes Valley Conference tournament bid at 17-12 (10-7 GLVC) overall. Senior Abby Heise – fresh off the program's first triple-double in nearly a decade on Tuesday night – nearly replicated the feat on Friday, as she finished with seven kills, 17 assists, and nine digs. She joined both Bastian and Mason in double-figures in points, as she totaled two solo blocks.

For the match, Truman put down 39 kills with just six errors on 92 swings for a .359 hitting line, while Jewell (8-22, 2-15 GLVC) was held to just 27 kills and 22 errors on 108 total attacks to hit .046. Raechel Meisinger had nine kills and an ace to lead the Cardinals.

The Bulldogs out-blocked Jewell, 8-2, and served eight aces to just four for WJC.

Truman will look to de-rail a perfect GLVC regular season for the 7^th-ranked Rockhurst Hawks (29-2, 17-0 GLVC) on Saturday night in Pershing Arena, with first serve set for 6 p.m. The program will recognize its five seniors – Heise, Ali Patterson, Sadie Pafford, Emilee Walters, and Kassi Schroeder – prior to first serve.
