KIRKSVILLE, Mo.. - - A 23-10 run to close out the first half was enough for seventh-ranked Indianapolis to keep the Truman men's basketball team at bay on Saturday afternoon, as the Greyhounds held Truman to just 35% shooting in an 83-64 Bulldog loss in Pershing Arena.

The two teams traded leads through the first 10 minutes of the ball game, but, with 9:26 to play in the half, a pair of free throws gave Indianapolis a 17-16 lead, which it would build to 38-26 at the break. Both teams would trade double-digit runs in the early stages of the second half, but the Bulldogs never could get the deficit back under single digits, as UIndy pulled away late for the 83-64 final.

Senior guard Seth Jackson scored 15 points in 27 minutes, while junior Andrew Vander Zwaag added 13 points and a team-high five rebounds off the bench. Senior guard Reed Mells chipped in 11 points and added four assists and three steals, with sophomore guard Cory Myers lead the Bulldogs with five assists. Truman shot just 34.5% for the game (20-for-58) and didn't hit a three-pointer until minutes into the second half, finishing with six. The Bulldogs did hit 18-of-21 free throws on the day.

Four Greyhounds finished in double-figures, led by Jordan Loyd's 22 points. Joe Lawson added 15 points and 10 rebounds, and Lucas Barker finished with 12 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists.

The Bulldogs return to action on Thursday night in St. Louis, looking for the season sweep of Maryville. Tipoff from MU's Moloney Arena is set for 7:30 p.m.
