QUINCY, Ill.   – The Quincy (Ill.) University Lady Hawks held the Truman Bulldogs to 23 second half points while missing just two free throws the entire night and defeated the Bulldogs 63-51 in the regular season finale on Thursday night.

Anika Webster had a personal 8-0 run during Quincy's 12-0 spurt that erased Truman's 35-34 lead to a 46-35 QU advantage midway through the second half. Quincy would keep the Bulldogs at bay the remainder of the contest as they went 19-of-20 at the line and 25-of-27 for the game. Truman shot 80% from the line but on just eight makes on 10 attempts.

Webster and Maggie Cunningham tied for game-high honors with 15 points apiece and Lady Hawks won the boards 38-26.

The Bulldogs took a five-point lead with eight minutes to go in the first half but went into the locker room down 29-28. Michalina Tomczak paced the Bulldogs with 14 points and five rebounds while Courtney Strait had 13 points with five boards of her own.

With the loss, Truman falls to the sixth seed in the GLVC Tournament that starts on Sunday in Pershing Arena. The Bulldogs will host the 11th seed which appears to be the University of Indianapolis following the application of tiebreakers. The Greyhounds were 8-10 in conference and survived a triple-overtime affair against Saint Joseph's (Ind.) on Thursday night. Truman defeated Indianapolis 63-52 in Pershing Arena back on February 14.
