Basketball's Jackson Named Second-Team NABC All-Region

KANSAS CITY - - Truman State University men's basketball senior guard Seth Jackson was named second-team all-district by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC), announced Monday morning by the Association's main office.
 
Jackson's selection marks the second straight season that a Bulldog was named to the NABC all-region squad, following first-teamer Mike Carlson's pick a year ago.
The NABC Coaches' Division II all-district teams and coaches recognize the best men's collegiate basketball student-athletes and coaches in the division. Selected and voted on by member coaches of the NABC in Division II, the 88 combined student-athletes and eight coaches represent the finest basketball players and coaches across America.
 
Already named to the Daktronics all-Midwest region second-team, Jackson led the GLVC at 22.3 points per game. He shot 51 percent from the floor on the year and also set program single-season records with 198 free throws made and 269 free throws attempted. In his 28 games played this season, the St. Louis-native reached double-figures 26 times - including in each game against a GLVC school - while his 18 games with at least 20 points topped the GLVC as well.
 
He finished his Truman career with 1,655 career points - good for third all-time in a Bulldog uniform - having also set a new career-high with 42 points in a road win at Drury on January 29.
