COLUMBIA, Mo. - For the fifth season in a row, the Truman men's and women's swimming programs opened their season at the University of Missouri's Show-Me Showdown inside the Tigers' Mizzou Aquatic Center on Friday afternoon.
The men's top finish came with an eighth place in the 200 yard freestyle while the women earned one top-five finish and 10 inside the top 10. That eighth place for the men was achieved by
Sam Heveroh with a time of 1:42.35.
For the women, their best placing was fourth in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:39.35 thanks to
Nikki Sisson,
Jamie Fitzpatrick,
Alison Strickler, and
Evyn Spencer. They also earned sixth in the 100 free, seventh in the 400 free relay, four ninth-place finishes, and three in 10th place.
Next up, the men will compete in the Truman Tri-Meet on Oct. 15 with Maryville and Lewis while the Women are at Quincy on the 14th before competing in that same tri-meet.
