KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – Truman begins their fourth season of Great Lakes Valley Conference play when the team lifts the lid on the conference slate with a pair of road games this weekend. The Bulldogs travel to Rockhurst on Thursday night and William Jewell on Saturday afternoon.

Truman is 4-3 on the season after splitting a pair of games at the Drury Thanksgiving Tournament over the holiday weekend. Rockhurst is 4-2 on the season and William Jewell is 2-2 before hosting Quincy University on Thursday night.

Two first year starters are leading the Bulldogs this season. Sophomore Rachel Edmundson is averaging 13.9 points per game and has scored in double-figures in the last five games. Senior Cassidy Clark (13.0 ppg) also leads the team in rebounds at 8.9 per night and is coming off a week in which she shot over 60% from the field and tallied a season and career high 29 points against #2 Emporia State last Friday night. Edmundson and Clark have two of the top five individual scoring games in the GLVC this season and both are shooting over 50% from the floor. Edmundson scored 28 last week in a loss to Missouri Southern. The Bulldogs did not have a single 20-point game by a player last year.
