RECAP: Missouri 87, Truman 53 (Exhibition)

COLUMBIA, Mo. – The Truman Women's Basketball team ended their exhibition season with an 87-53 loss against the University of Missouri Tigers on Monday night. Cassidy Clark led the Bulldogs with 11 points.

The Tigers jumped out to a 22-7 lead after the first quarter and shot 46% from the field during the contest. Clark was joined in double figures by 10 points apiece from Rachel Steinhoff and Rachel Edmundson.

The Bulldog shot 32% at Mizzou Arena with 8-of-25 from long range. Steinhoff made all three of her three-point attempts and Brooke Bailey was 2-of-6 from long range.

Mizzou dominated the glass by a 49 to 24 margin and had 16 offensive rebounds. Sophie Cunningham paced the Tigers with 22 points with 13 coming from the foul line.

The Bulldogs will open the regular season on Saturday at the GLIAC/GLVC Challenge in Allendale, Michigan. Truman will face Northern Michigan in the opener and host Grand Valley State on Sunday afternoon.
