RECAP: Southern Indiana Defends Home Turf To Beat Truman 2-1

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Taylor McCormick scored two goals off of rebounds and the University of Southern Indiana Screaming Eagles downed the Truman Women's Soccer team 2-1 on Sunday.
 
Laura Ney got Truman on the scoreboard first as she headed in Addy Hoffman's corner kick for her first goal of the season at the 21:29 mark.
 
McCormick scored the equalizer with under nine minutes left in the first half with Loryn Willis credited with the assist.
 
In the 73rd minute, McCormick put home another rebound that stood up as the game winner.
 
Kelsey Murphy put a shot on goal from the far right wing in the 80th minute that was corralled by Emily Hopkins for the save. Hopkins stopped three of the four Truman shots on goal.
 
The Bulldogs will play the final two regular season matches at home next weekend hosting Bellarmine on Friday and Indianapolis on Sunday with matches kicking off at 2:30 p.m. each day.
