KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – The last final exam of the 2017 winter semester will take place on the road for the Truman Women's Basketball team. The Bulldogs will face Missouri Western State University in a battle of former conference mates.

Truman has been idle since a December 7th Great Lakes Valley Conference road victory at McKendree and have won three straight and six of their last seven. The only loss since November 18 was a one-point buzzer-beater on the road against Washburn 68-67 on November 25.

Four Truman players scored in double-figures with freshman center Katie Jaseckas notching her second double-double of the year in the Bulldogs 76-62 rout over McKendree. Jaseckas scored a team-high 14 points and pulled down 10 rebounds and was joined in double-digits by fellow starters Rachel Edmundson (11), Ashley Hartwig (11) and Remy Davenport (10).

The Griffons had their six-game winning streak snapped on Thursday night on the road in conference at the University of Central Missouri 70-48. Their six previous wins had all come on their home court.

A 28-7 third quarter doomed the Griffons in their loss to UCM. Melia Richardson scored 13 points in 37 minutes in the loss. The Griffons were 3-of-17 from distance and 18-of-53 (34%) for the game.

This will be the first meeting between Truman and Missouri Western since December 5, 2012. That season, the two teams split a non-conference game in Jefferson City (67-65 TSU) and the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association game in St. Joseph's (71-65 MWSU).  In the four seasons since that last matchup, Truman is 79-45 while the Griffons are 73-40. Missouri Western is 48-12 the last two years.
