RECAP: Rockhurst Sweeps Truman Tennis On Friday

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The first road test for the Truman Tennis teams in conference went to the home squads on Friday. The Rockhurst Hawks defeated the women 8-1 while the men were swept 9-0. The teams return to action on Saturday at William Jewell.
 
The women dropped to 1-1 in the conference with the 8-1 loss. Number two doubles team of Alexandra Rogers and Morgan Ebby defeated Emma Persson and Justine Berezintsev 8-5 for the lone team point.
 
The nationally-ranked Hawks men's squad improved to 12-2 overall and 2-0 in the conference by sweeping the Truman men 9-0. All six singles matches were decided in straight sets and the Hawks took the three singles matches by scores of 8-2, 8-1 and 8-0.
