KIRKSVILLE, Mo. - #20 Truman Women's Soccer team got back on track with a 2-0 victory over Southern Indiana on Sunday to even their conference mark to 1-1 and go to 5-1 overall. The Bulldogs got goals from
Faith Branson and
Chance Douglass.
Branson picked up her second goal of the year with about 12 minutes left in the first half. She took a pass from
Hanna Hickey and buried the ball from 20 yards out for the lead. Douglass scored her second of the season on a feed from
Hanna Burke and scored from just inside the 18-yard line. That goal came with under nine minutes to play.
Truman dominated the stats with 24 total shots to USI's eight. The Screaming Eagles had three shots on goal that were turned away by
Beth Hopwood. The freshman keeper notched her fourth save of the year.
Truman will play at Rockhurst on Friday at 5 p.m.
