KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Friday night at Rockhurst, the Truman State University men's soccer team gave up goals in the 38th, 47th and 77th minutes en route to a 3-0 loss to the Hawks.
Truman fell to 2-1-3 overall and 0-1-2 in the GLVC while Rockhurst improved to 2-2-2 on the season including 1-0-2 in league play. The Hawks' three scores came from Sal Caruso, Umoh Ufot and Gianluca Bottoni while they controlled the corner kicks to the tune of 8-1.
Despite losing 3-0, Truman had just one less shot on goal than Rockhurst (4-3) and three fewer total shots (14-11). Three different Bulldogs had two shots apiece including
Zach Vahlkamp,
Trevor Kaufmann and
Michael Ruzicka (pictured). Kaufmann had two of those three shots on goal with the other coming from Vahlkamp.
Next up, Truman is at rival, Quincy, on Sunday with kickoff set for 2:30 p.m. against the other Hawks.
