RECAP: Bulldogs Post Fifth Shutout In 2-0 Win Over Missouri-St. Louis

ST. LOUIS – Goals by Hanna Liljegren and Hanna Burke lifted the Truman Women's Soccer team to a 2-0 shutout win over Missouri-St. Louis on Friday night in Great Lakes Valley Conference action. The Bulldogs return home on Sunday to face Maryville University at noon.
 
Liljegren notched her third of the season on an assist by Addy Hoffman in the 25th minute of play. It was the first goal scored in a match played between these two teams since they met in the GLVC Tournament Championship match in 2015.
 
With 12 minutes left to play, Burke scored her third of the year on a pass by Maggie Beem. Burke took over the team lead in points score with her 10th of the season.
 
Beth Hopwood made four saves on eight total shots to pick up the win and her fifth clean sheet of the season. Truman has now eclipsed last year's win total of six and sits at 7-2 overall and 3-2 in the conference.
