ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – A fast start by the Lewis soccer team doomed the Bulldog men on Friday night. Two goals in the first three and a half minutes gave the Flyers a 3-0 victory over Truman. The Bulldogs return to the pitch on Sunday against Illinois Springfield.
 
A minute and nine seconds into the match Jimmy Mwanga scored following passes from Aris Oluwatuyi and Oliwer Mattiasson. At the 3:09 mark Mwanga struck again from a feed by Mattiasson for the 2-0 lead.
 
Mwanga got an assist on the third goal when he led Oluwatuyi in for a score in the 70^th minute.
 
The Flyers had a distinct advantage in chances with 20 total shots and seven on net while the Bulldogs were limited to five shots with Matt Yankowitz having the only shot on goal.
 
The Bulldogs fall to 4-4 overall and 3-3 in the GLVC.
