RECAP: Adam Stolley Drives In Three As Truman Baseball Falls To Central Missouri

Box Score

WARRENSBURG, Mo.  -  Adam Stolley drove in three runs, two on his first home run of the season but a tough start allowed the University of Central Missouri to defeat the Truman Baseball team 12-5 on Tuesday afternoon. The Bulldogs next scheduled date is the conference opener on March 9 at home against Illinois Springfield. This weekend's games have been called off due to projected weather forecasts.

The Mules scored six times in the first two innings to stake out to the 6-0 lead. The Bulldogs got on the board in the fourth when Brendan Kelly turned a hit by pitch into carousal around the bases. He stole second, advanced to third on a wild pitch and came in on an RBI single from Evan Kayser.

Central got the run back on a solo home run with two outs in their half of the fourth.

The Bulldogs took advantage of a Mule miscue in the fifth that gave Stolley a chance to bat. Holden Missey reached on an error that after a fly out extended the inning to Stolley. He belted his first collegiate home run and only the second one for Truman this season.

Stolley delivered an RBI single in the seventh and Reid Wilson knocked in Steven Bradbury in the eighth to round out the Truman offensive for the day.

Mason Hatch fell to 0-2 after getting the start.

A rocky start that saw Central Missouri score six times in the first two innings allowed the Mules to overpower the Truman Baseball team 12-5
