RECAP: Men's Soccer Has Win Streak Broken at Indy

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.—The Truman men's soccer team took the pitch Friday against Indianapolis, looking for their first five match winning streak since 2010. But for the first time this season the Bulldogs failed to get on the scoreboard and their winning streak ended at four as they fell 3-0 at Indianapolis.

Indy came out quickly and generated the first four shots of the game, with two being on goal. Keane was able to save the first two Greyhound attempts, but the third he was not able to get to as Ben Rohder scored this third goal of the season just over 18 minutes in. With just over three minutes left in the half Indy struck the second time as Seth Ward picked up his second goal of the season, the first of two scoring plays he was involved in. TSU got one shot on goal in the first half, off the foot of Jeff Masters; which was saved.

In the second half, Collin McDonough got the first shot on goal of the second half, just over eight minutes in. Once again Indy keeper Dimitrios Karousos was up the challenge. Just over 32 minutes into the half, Indy struck again as Ewan Lynch scored the final goal, with Ward picking up an assist. Indy saw the game out from there to win 3-0.

Keane saved six of the nine shots on goal from Indy tonight, and six different players recorded shots for the Bulldogs—with four on net.

Truman will be back home on Sunday as they take on Bellarmine as Truman Soccer Park at noon.
