Women's Golf Competes In One-Day Tournament In Columbia

COLUMBIA, Mo. – All 10 Truman Women's Golfers competed on Monday at the Columbia (Mo.) College Classic. Emily Ducaji and Kara Hunt each placed in the top 10 as individuals. The tournament was a one-day, 36-hole event.

The 10 players comprised two teams in the tournament with the team consisting of Ducaji, Hunt, Maya Schnable, Katie Gastrau and Natalie Fatka placing third with a total score of 697.

Ducaji shot rounds of 83 and 88 to place seventh overall while Hunt was one shot back and in eighth position with consecutive rounds of 86. Schnable was in a tie for 12^th with rounds of 90-87, Gastrau was 14^th with scores of 92 and 86 and Fatka was 17^th with 91 and 93.

The second squad was led by Catherine Salem with scores of 89 and 87. That placed her 11^th overall in the individual scoring. Sydney Young had rounds of 101 and 92 for a T-20 finish. Molly Jones was 22^nd (100-94), Macyn Young was 23^rd (99-97) and Kylah Gore was 24^th (99-100).

Drury University won the event with a team score of 651, followed by host Columbia at 686 and Truman's first team at 697.

The tournament took place at the Columbia Country Club.
