KIRKSVILLE, Mo. — The Truman State women's golf team wrapped up its 2026 spring regular season across three tournaments spanning March, building experience and consistency heading into the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championship, set for April 16–18 in Peru, Indiana.
2026 Arkansas Collegiate — March 9-10
The Bulldogs opened their spring campaign at the Arkansas Collegiate, where Reese Stovall set the tone for the season ahead. Stovall shot rounds of 81 and 82 for a 163 (+19) total, finishing tied for 29th, the team's best individual finish of the tournament. Claire Jarrett posted a 180 (+36) with rounds of 96 and 84, finishing tied for 50th, while Lauren Prys shot a consistent 92-92 for a 184 (+40) and 53rd place. Ana González (185, +41, tied for 54th) and Madalyn Breckenridge (187, +43, tied for 56th) rounded out the Bulldog lineup.
2026 Midwest Intercollegiate Invitational — March 16-17
One week later, Stovall again paced Truman State at the Midwest Intercollegiate Invitational, carding rounds of 87 and 82 for a 169 (+25) total and a tie for 27th. Jarrett showed improvement from the opener, finishing tied for 45th with a 181 (+37) on rounds of 92 and 89. Prys and González were both tied for 47th, each posting matching 182 (+38) totals with rounds of 93 and 89. Breckenridge rounded out the squad in 55th with a 194 (+50).
2026 Flyers Spring Invite — March 30-31
Truman State closed out its regular season at the Flyers Spring Invite, and the team's most encouraging performance of the spring came at just the right time. Stovall delivered her strongest outing of the season, shooting 80 in the first round and a 40 over nine holes in round two for a 120 (+12) total and a tie for 15th — the team's top individual finish across all three events. Prys finished tied for 45th with a 133 (+25) on rounds of 86 and 47. González (141, +33, 60th), Breckenridge (140, +32, tied for 61st), and Jarrett (140, +32, tied for 61st) completed the Bulldogs' lineup in what was an encouraging final tune-up before the conference championship.
Looking Ahead: GLVC Championship
The arc of Truman State's spring tells an encouraging story. Stovall improved her finish from tied for 29th to tied for 27th to tied for 15th across the three events, and the team as a whole showed its best golf down the stretch. The Bulldogs will carry that momentum into the GLVC Championship, which tees off Thursday, April 16 in Peru, Indiana, running through Saturday, April 18. The three-round format will be a new challenge, the first time the Bulldogs will compete over 54 holes this season, and one the program will be looking to rise to.
