Columbia, Mo. - Reese Stovall delivered a milestone performance at the Columbia College Cougar Invitational, claiming the individual championship. This win marked Truman State's first individual tournament winner since Nicholle Barmettler in 2017-18. Stovall's steady play over two rounds produced a two-day total of 159 (+15) to top the field. Teammate Claire Jarrett was right behind her, finishing second at 162 (+18), and Ana Gonzalez added a top-10 showing to help Truman to a team runner-up finish.
Stovall's opening round (76) put her in position, and she closed with an 83 in Round 2 to secure the medalist honor. Jarrett fought back with a strong 77 on day two after an opening 85 to move into solo second. Ana Gonzalez's consistent rounds (86–84) gave Truman three golfers inside the top 10, and solid performances from Madalyn Breckenridge and Haley Rausch helped the Bulldogs post a two-day team total that was good for second place.
This tournament completes the Bulldogs fall season. They will now try to take this high note and build on it over the winter in preparation for the championship season in the spring.
