MEN'S RESULTS | WOMEN'S RESULTS
ELSAH, Ill - The Truman State Cross Country teams competed in the Great Lakes Valley Conference West Divisional qualifier on Friday afternoon at the North Farm XC Course in Elsah, Illinois. The Bulldog women finished third as a team and will advance to the "A" race on championship Saturday while the men placed sixth and will run in the "B" race.Â
The pack of Truman women that scored points all finished 13 through 22nd. Lily Ende was the first Truman runner to score by coming in 13th position with a time 24:06.46. Madeline Bostick was next in 15th with a time of 24:15.89.
The staggered scoring continued with Addie Mathis in 17th (24:43.03) and Lexy Henrikson coming in 19th at 24:52.27. The fifth Truman runner was Maddie Lee in 22nd position with a time of 25:10.23.
Reese Howard finished in 41st (26:36.38), Ana Carter was 48th (26:56.57), Kate Wollmering was 50th ((27:04.56) and Abi Prince was 52nd (27:12.28).
The women scored 86 points to place third behind Southwest Baptist (27 pts) and Drury University (35 pts.) They were in front of Lindenwood (95 pts) to be the four teams to qualify for the GLVC "A" race on October 24th.
The men will compete in the "B" race after placing sixth as a team with a score of 113. Tom Cormier had a top-five finish as he was in a three-way sprint to the finish with a time of 26:48.32. Tyler Goatley of SBU was second at 26:46.62 and Bramwell Have of Lindenwood was third at 26:47.53.
Nathan Key was the next Bulldog runner in 15th position (27:51.86) followed by Carson Rohan in 26th (28:25.94), Ryan Harness in 36th (29:15.96), Nathan Stinson in 38th (29:19.45), Jackson Foster in 43rd (29:44.73) and Nathan Lavigne in 53rd (31:12.43).
Both GLVC "A" and "B" races will be run on the same course as the West Division qualifier was run on and again will be held on October 24th.
